Behind the scenes at the soon-to-be-opened Courtyard at Oshkosh, team members are preparing to welcome the first assisted living and memory care residents to their comfortable new home on April 22. They are fluffing pillows, taste-testing recipes and reviewing protocols and procedures to put their best (and safest!) foot forward, especially in this time of social distancing. Spit spot!
Meet Trisha Bosetti, The Courtyard at Oshkosh Associate Administrator.
Trisha supports Administrator Sarah Hammond and team members and ensures residents experience caring support and a sense of community.
“We are busy creating a homey and inviting setting, where our very first residents will be treated to in-home meal deliveries and visits, at a safe distance, from team members, who will be checked for good health before every shift,” says Trisha. “Eventually residents will be able to enjoy social opportunities with their new neighbors, exercise, special events, day trips and dining company all with the help of a caring staff.”
She has met a few of the residents who will be moving to The Courtyard and looks forward to getting to know them and others better. “I am passionate about taking care of seniors,” says Trisha, who, in her role, will have the opportunity to interact with and support residents and guests on a daily basis. She lives in Neenah with her husband and baby boy.
Meet Heidi Daniels, The Courtyard at Oshkosh Head Chef.
Heidi is cooking up plans to create delicious, nutritious and memorable dining experiences at The Courtyard at Oshkosh.
Pleasing bellies with made-from-scratch, home-cooked food and pleasing hearts with good dining company and conversation are Heidi’s goals.
“We’ll tailor the menu and ingredients to accommodate residents’ preferences and dietary restrictions,” she says, adding that she predicts simple, comfort foods like casseroles and cakes to be among the most popular menu items.
After social distancing, plenty of dining options will be offered, including three meals a day served restaurant-style in the dining room, meal delivery, and grab-and-go snacks always available in the snack kitchenette. A buffet table in the dining room will be for family-style dining, and The Courtyard can host and cater special events in the private dining room for residents and their families.
Growing up in Oshkosh, Heidi’s family and neighbors inspired her passion for cooking with homemade meals, backyard garden produce and kitchen canning parties. She has been a chef for 20 years and is excited to fire up the ovens and cook for The Courtyard’s residents.
